Korean War Commemoration, 60 Year Anniversary, June 30th, 2012
From the Korean War Commemoration Committee:
The 60th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee has carried out a wide range of commemoration
events and programs marking the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War with three themes of remembrance and legacy,
gratitude and honor, and harmony and cooperation. The objectives of the Committee are to help postwar generations build
up a correct vision of nationalism and national security; to convey our deep gratitude and honor toward the Korean War
Veterans home and abroad; and to provide a venue for further collaboration and mutual understanding for world peace. .
We Koreans are here today thanks to the noble sacrifices and dedication that the Korean War Veterans made 60 years
ago. To build a strong and prosperous nation, the Republic of Korea has come a long way and is once again moving
forward to transform itself into an international benefactor. With all due respect, the Republic of Korea will continuously
carry on its honor and thanks toward those fallen heros and the Korean War Veterans home and abroad.
